MGL Raises Mumbai CNG, PNG Prices Amid West Asia Crisis
Mumbai Price Hike Alert: MGL Increases CNG By Rs 2/kg, PNG By Rs 1/SCM — Here's Why · news18.com

Mahanagar Gas Limited has made vehicle and household gas more expensive in and around Mumbai.

CNG, used by many vehicles, now costs ₹88 per kilogram.

This is ₹2 more than before.

Domestic piped gas, used by homes, now costs ₹53 per standard cubic metre, which is ₹1 more.

The new prices apply from September 1.

Some reports say the change began at midnight on August 31, while others describe it as beginning at midnight on September 1.

MGL says gas became more expensive because of the West Asia crisis and higher international prices.

The company also said stronger demand meant it had to buy more expensive imported gas.
