TCS selects 34 JMI students, top package Rs 11.59 lakh
A university called Jamia Millia Islamia held a big job-hiring event with a company called Tata Consultancy Services, which is often called TCS.
Many students from the university wanted to get a job there, so 300 of them took a test called an aptitude test.
Out of those 300 students, 117 students did well enough to be called for interviews.
The interviews happened over two days at the TCS office.
After all the talking and testing, 34 students got the good news that they were hired.
TCS has three different job levels, and each level offers different amounts of money.
One student got the highest-paying level, where the yearly salary can be as high as Rs 11.59 lakh.
Most of the other students got a middle level, and seven students got the entry level.
All the selected students will start working after they finish their studies.
Thirty-four students from the 2027 batch of BTech, MTech, MCA and MSc programmes at Jamia Millia Islamia were selected by Tata Consultancy Services through campus placement.
A total of 300 students appeared for the TCS aptitude test held on July 25 at the Computer Laboratories of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Of the 300 participants, 117 students were shortlisted for interviews conducted on August 3 and 4 at the TCS office.
One student was selected for TCS Prime, with an annual package ranging from Rs 9.09 lakh to Rs 11.59 lakh.
Twenty-six students were selected for TCS Digital (Rs 7.09-7.39 lakh) and seven for TCS Ninja (Rs 3.46-3.62 lakh).
