Spider-Man Brand New Day Crosses Rs 500 Crore in India
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a brand-new movie about a superhero named Spider-Man.
The hero is played by actor Tom Holland, and the movie began showing in India on July 30, 2026.
Many people went to see it in theaters, and it made a huge amount of money — more than 500 crore rupees.
That is a record, because no other Hollywood movie has ever made so much money in India.
On a Monday, far fewer people went to the cinema than on Sunday, so the money made that day dropped by about 78 percent.
The movie also beat Avatar: The Way of Water to become the most successful Hollywood movie ever in India.
In the story, Spider-Man is lonely because a spell by Doctor Strange made everyone forget who he is.
He lives alone but still protects New York City from bad guys.
Then strange crimes begin, and his body starts going through a mysterious change.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day became the first Hollywood film to cross Rs 500 crore gross in India, reaching Rs 505.93 crore by Day 12 and Rs 506.51 crore on Day 13.
On its second Monday (Day 12), the film earned Rs 7.60 crore nett, a 78.1% drop from the Rs 34.70 crore collected on the second Sunday.
Per Sacnilk, total India nett stood at Rs 423.54 crore after Day 13; the same report lists Day 13 live nett as Rs 0.49 crore in its text but Rs 8.50 crore (live) in its day-wise table.
The film surpassed James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water to become the highest-grossing Hollywood film in India within 11 days of release.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Tom Holland, the film also features Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo and Sadie Sink.
