Carnegie Hall announces Naad Festival lineup with Rahman, Chakraborty
Carnegie Hall is a very famous music building in New York City.
It just announced a brand new festival called Naad, which celebrates music from India.
The festival will happen for three days, from May 21 to May 23, 2027.
On the first night, a flute player named Rakesh Chaurasia will perform with a tabla player named Ishaan Ghosh.
On the second night, a famous composer and singer named A. R. Rahman will play at Carnegie Hall for the very first time.
People know him best for the music of the movie Slumdog Millionaire.
On the last night, a singer named Kaushiki Chakraborty will lead a big Indian classical music concert called SIFAR.
Tickets for everyone go on sale on August 10.
The people at Carnegie Hall say the festival will become a yearly tradition.
They also thank a musician and helper named Ila Paliwal for making the festival possible.

Grammy-winning bansuri maestro Rakesh Chaurasia opens the festival on May 21 at Zankel Hall with tabla player Ishaan Ghosh.

Kaushiki Chakraborty leads the closing concert SIFAR on May 23, with an ensemble including Soumik Datta, Ambi Subramaniam, and Ishaan Ghosh.
Single tickets for all Naad 2027 performances go on sale to the general public on August 10.
