Lok Sabha standoff over police action on student protesters

Some students in Delhi were protesting, and the opposition party says the police may have used guns against them.

But Rahul Gandhi says a general speech is not enough — he wants a clear yes or no to that one question.

The government's leaders say Rahul Gandhi is stopping Parliament from doing its work.

They say he keeps changing what he wants so the argument never ends.

A government MP even said a businessman named George Soros ordered Rahul Gandhi to keep changing the rules.

The government also says no bullets were fired at the protest spot, which is called Jantar Mantar.

Rahul Gandhi says he was told pellet guns were fired at the students.

Because the two sides cannot agree, the big meeting of Parliament stays blocked while they argue about how to discuss the issue.
