Dalit Youth’s House Demolished After Inter-Caste Marriage in Gadwal
A Dalit man named Rangamuni married Maheshwari, who belongs to the Boya community.
Their families reportedly did not approve because they come from different castes.
The couple got married in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
The next evening, Maheshwari’s relatives allegedly went to Rangamuni’s house in Repalle village.
They reportedly used machines to knock the house down.
Nobody was inside because Rangamuni’s parents had gone to work.
Police came after villagers raised an alarm and are investigating.
Officers said the family would be protected and that people responsible could face legal action.

Gadwal DSP Mogilaiah said cases would be registered and warned that caste-based attacks could attract action under relevant laws.
