Delhi HC Defers Urgent PIL Seeking Hostels In DU Colleges
Delhi HC Refuses Urgent Hearing On PIL Seeking Hostel Facilities In All DU Colleges · freepressjournal.in

A lawyer asked the Delhi High Court to quickly consider a request for hostels in all University of Delhi colleges.

The court did not hear the request immediately.

It said the petition would be listed normally on Wednesday.

The judges also questioned whether they could order hostels as a temporary measure.

The request followed a building collapse in Satya Niketan.

Seven people died in that collapse.

The court had already ordered an inquiry into the incident in another case.

The lawyer said his petition focused on hostel facilities, while the earlier case included compensation requests.
