University of Hyderabad Enters Top 1,000 in 2027 Rankings
The University of Hyderabad has moved into the world’s top 1,000 universities in a new ranking.
It was previously placed between 1,001 and 1,200.
The ranking was published by Times Higher Education.
This edition compares 2,297 universities from 118 countries and territories.
India had 143 universities on the list.
The ranking looks at research, teaching, the university environment, international work and industry links.
UoH has 5,575 students and about 13 students for every staff member.
Its acting Vice-Chancellor said the result reflected the work of its teachers, researchers and students.
The University of Hyderabad moved into the 801–1000 band in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027.
UoH rose from the 1001–1200 range in the previous edition.
The 2027 rankings assess 2,297 universities across 118 countries and territories.
India was the second most-represented country, with 143 institutions included.
UoH was also ranked in multiple subject areas, including Life Sciences, Medical and Health, and Computer Science.
