Congress Names Former MP Madhu Goud Yaskhi AIPC Chief
The Congress party has chosen Madhu Goud Yaskhi to lead the All India Professionals’ Congress.
This group is also called the AIPC.
His appointment started immediately.
K.C. Venugopal announced the decision on Wednesday.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge approved it.
Yaskhi used to represent Nizamabad in India’s Lok Sabha.
He won that seat in 2004 and 2009 but lost later elections.
The party thanked the previous chairperson, Praveen Chakravarty, for his work.
Yaskhi has also held other responsibilities in the Congress party.
The All India Congress Committee appointed former MP Madhu Goud Yaskhi as chairperson of the All India Professionals’ Congress.
Yaskhi’s appointment took effect immediately and was announced on Wednesday by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge approved the appointment, while the party acknowledged outgoing chairperson Praveen Chakravarty’s contributions.
Yaskhi represented Nizamabad in the Lok Sabha in 2004 and 2009 and served as Deputy Chief Whip of the Congress Parliamentary Party.
He later led the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee campaign in 2023 but unsuccessfully contested the Telangana Assembly election from LB Nagar.
