FlyOne Plans Delhi Flights as Uzbek Carriers Fill Gap
FlyOne plans to start flying between Tashkent and Delhi twice a week in November 2026.
It would become the third Uzbek airline flying directly between the two cities.
Another Uzbek airline, Qanot Sharq, may also start flights before then.
Indian airline IndiGo previously expanded on this route but later suspended its own aircraft services.
Pakistan’s airspace closure made flights from Delhi require longer routes.
Later, Iranian airspace closures created another problem for Indian airlines using smaller planes.
Uzbek airlines can now serve many travelers who still want to fly between India and Central Asia.
They also hope to carry passengers traveling onward to Europe, Russia, the Gulf and other destinations.
This could make Delhi–Tashkent a very competitive route.
FlyOne will launch twice-weekly Tashkent–Delhi flights on November 6, 2026, using an Airbus A321neo.
The service would make FlyOne the third Uzbek carrier on the route, after Uzbekistan Airways and Centrum Air.
Qanot Sharq is also considering Delhi flights and could begin service before FlyOne, increasing competition.
Indian carriers have suspended or reduced their own services because Pakistani and Iranian airspace closures made narrow-body routes difficult to operate.
Uzbek carriers are targeting Indian leisure, trade, medical-tourism and transfer traffic between India, Europe and Central Asia.
