Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka criticized what he called feudal and discriminatory behavior.

He said Telangana society should treat everyone equally.

He was upset by remarks made against the Speaker in the Legislative Assembly.

He also criticized a reported purification ritual connected to roads walked by Dalits.

Bhatti said this was disrespectful to Dalits and to all of Telangana.

He referred to the Constitution written under the leadership of B. R. Ambedkar, which says people have equal fundamental rights.

He also mentioned a similar incident involving BJP leaders and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in Uttarakhand.

Bhatti warned that such behavior could push society toward medieval conditions.
