Rajasthan Board to Hold 10th, 12th Exams Twice Annually
Imagine you have a big test at school, but instead of just one chance, you get two!
The Rajasthan Board is going to let students take their 10th and 12th-grade exams two times each year.
The first test is for everyone, and it covers everything.
If you don't do as well as you hoped, or if you just want to try for a better score, you can take a second test a few months later.
This second test is optional, and you can even pick up to three subjects to retake.
Your best score from either test will be your final grade.
The school board hopes this will make studying less scary and help students get better marks.
Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) will conduct 10th and 12th board exams twice a year starting next academic session.
The first exam session will be compulsory for all students, held between February-March.
A second, optional exam session will be conducted between May-June for students to improve scores in up to three subjects.
The final result will be based on the better performance achieved in either of the two examination attempts.
This reform is inspired by CBSE's model and aims to reduce student stress and enhance academic outcomes.
