Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Rajamahendravaram POCSO Case
A court in Kakinada sentenced a man to 20 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.
The prosecution said he gained her trust by promising to marry her.
The girl later filed a complaint with the police.
The police investigated the case and collected medical reports, scientific evidence and her recorded statement.
The court found the man guilty under the POCSO law, which protects children from sexual offences.
He was also convicted of kidnapping.

He was fined Rs 5,000 under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, with the amount payable to the victim after the appeal period.
Kumar also received a three-month sentence and Rs 500 fine for kidnapping under Section 363 of the IPC.
