ULI adoption surges with lenders and data services
The Unified Lending Interface (ULI) in India is a digital platform that helps banks and other lenders give out loans more easily.
It connects lenders with lots of different data sources to make better decisions about who to lend money to.
Recently, more lenders and data services have joined the platform, making it more useful.
As of December 2024, 64 lenders are using ULI, and they can access over 136 data services.
This has helped disburse a lot of loans, including to small businesses and farmers.
The platform is like a superhighway for loan information, making the process faster and smoother for everyone involved.
ULI has onboarded 64 lenders, including 41 banks and 23 NBFCs, up from 36 lenders in the previous year.
The platform now offers over 136 data services for 12 different loan journeys, compared to just over 50 a year ago.
More than 600,000 loans worth ₹27,000 crore were disbursed using ULI APIs by December 2024, including 160,000 MSME loans.
In April 2024, ULI facilitated the disbursal of over 1.4 million loans amounting to ₹65,000 crore.
ULI provides lenders with access to key financial and non-financial data of borrowers, improving credit decisions and offering consumers a wider range of loan options.
