A bridge being built in Himachal Pradesh partly collapsed near Masiyana village.

The accident happened on Friday, October 2.

One worker was reported dead and seven were injured in one account.

An earlier report said five workers were injured and six others might be trapped.

The bridge materials and workers fell into a gorge about 100 feet deep.

The injured workers were taken to Medical College Hamirpur.

The bridge was being built over the Mataur-Shimla four-lane road.

Officials said a mechanical problem caused the bridge structure to fall while it was being moved into position.
