Carpenter and Wife Killed by Speeding Truck in Gorakhpur
A truck hit a motorcycle carrying a husband and wife in Gorakhpur.
The crash happened on Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m.
The couple was travelling toward Indrapur in Campierganj.
The husband died at the scene.
The wife was taken to a health centre but later died from her injuries.
Their sick 12-year-old son was travelling ahead with his uncle on another motorcycle.
Police said the truck driver drove away after the crash.
The couple also left behind two daughters, aged eight and six.
Rajkumar Yadav, 40, and his wife Rambha Devi, 35, died after a truck hit their motorcycle in Gorakhpur.
The crash occurred around 3 p.m. Sunday near the forest department checkpost on the Pipiganj bypass.
Rajkumar died at the scene, while Rambha later died at Jungle Kaudia Community Health Centre.
Their 12-year-old son Adarsh was travelling ahead with his maternal uncle on another motorcycle.
Police said the truck driver fled toward Campierganj and efforts were underway to arrest him.
