Kerala Police Arrest RSS Ideologue Mohandas Over Hate Speech

Thiruvananthapuram City Cyber Police arrested RSS ideologue and political commentator T G Mohandas over alleged hate speech targeting students who protested at Delhi's Jantar Mantar over the NEET paper leak.
He was detained in Mattancherry, Kochi on Sunday after a search at his home and brought to Thiruvananthapuram, where his arrest was formally recorded and he was booked on July 29.
In YouTube videos, Mohandas said he would enforce a curfew within a four-kilometre radius of the protest site and instruct authorities to open fire after three dispersal warnings, adding that several protesters should be killed or maimed.
An FIR was registered under BNS Sections 192 and 353(1)(b), IT Act Section 66, and Kerala Police Act Section 120(o) after the SFI complained to Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and State Police Chief Ravada Chandrasekhar.
The RSS distanced itself, calling the remarks his personal views, while the SFI, AISF and DYFI organised protests demanding strict action and AIDWA said the words reflected a 'Manuvadi' mindset.
