iPhone 17 Could Break Apple's 15-Year Flagship Longevity Record

Apple makes popular phones called iPhones.

Every year or so, Apple introduces a brand-new main iPhone.

The new iPhone 17 might stay the 'most special' iPhone for a really long time.

That is because the next main iPhone, the iPhone 18, may not come out until spring 2027.

The old record for the longest time a main iPhone stayed on top was set by the iPhone 4.

The iPhone 4 was the main iPhone for about 16 months.

The iPhone 17 could stay on top for about 18 months, which would break that 15-year-old record.

Apple also makes fancy Pro versions of its phones, so people still get new phones each year.

Apple is also planning its very first foldable iPhone, which might be called the iPhone Ultra.
