Two big buses crashed into each other in a country in Africa called Niger.

The crash happened at night, and it was very serious.

At least 22 people lost their lives, and many of them were soldiers.

Another 37 people were hurt and needed help.

The buses crashed near a town called Madaoua.

Nobody knows yet exactly why the crash happened.

The government has started an investigation to find out.

In Niger, road accidents happen often.

Last year there were more than 7,000 accidents in the country.

The most common reasons are speeding, drinking and driving, and bad roads and vehicles.
