Southern Niger bus crash kills 22, including 17 soldiers
Two big buses crashed into each other in a country in Africa called Niger.
The crash happened at night, and it was very serious.
At least 22 people lost their lives, and many of them were soldiers.
Another 37 people were hurt and needed help.
The buses crashed near a town called Madaoua.
Nobody knows yet exactly why the crash happened.
The government has started an investigation to find out.
In Niger, road accidents happen often.
Last year there were more than 7,000 accidents in the country.
The most common reasons are speeding, drinking and driving, and bad roads and vehicles.
A head-on collision between two buses in southern Niger killed at least 22 people, including 17 soldiers, on Friday night.
The crash occurred around 50 kilometres (35 miles) from the town of Madaoua, according to Niger's transport ministry.
37 people were injured in the collision.
An investigation has been opened to determine the cause of the accident.
Niger recorded more than 7,000 road accidents in 2025, with over 1,200 deaths and more than 4,400 serious injuries, according to the Nigerien Agency for Road Safety.
