Netflix Expands South Indian Film Slate With Weekly Releases
Netflix is adding many more South Indian movies to its service.
These movies will be in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
The company plans to release about one new film each week for the rest of 2026.

Netflix says South Indian films appeared in its global Top 10 list during 39 of 52 weeks in 2025.
The service will offer both big theater movies and smaller original stories.

Netflix plans to release an average of one Tamil, Telugu, or Malayalam film every week for the rest of 2026.
The platform says its South Indian slate had a record-breaking first half, including Youth, With Love, Blast, and Bharathanatyam 2: Mohiniyattam.

Upcoming titles include Pyaar Prema Kalyanam on August 21, along with Peddi, OM – Chapter 1: Udhiram, Ranabaali, and Nani’s Paradise.
