India-Pakistan Standoff: Operation Sindoor and 2025 Red Lines
In 2025, a big fight happened between India and Pakistan.
It started when terrorists attacked a place in Kashmir called Pahalgam, killing 26 tourists.
India said the terrorists were supported by Pakistan.
India then did something called Operation Sindoor, where they attacked nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoK.
They said they killed about 100 terrorists and didn't hurt any civilians.
Pakistan got mad and started attacking Indian places with drones and guns.
India fought back by attacking Pakistani military bases.
After a few days, Pakistan asked for a stop to the fighting.
India also did other things to put pressure on Pakistan, like stopping a water treaty and closing a border.
Even though the fighting stopped, the countries are still not getting along well.
India says they will not allow terrorism and will fight back if attacked again.
A terror attack in Kashmir's Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, killed 26 tourists, escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, resulting in the deaths of around 100 terrorists.
Pakistan responded with drone attacks and shelling on Indian civilian and military installations, leading to Indian retaliatory strikes on 11 Pakistani military bases.
The Indian Navy's actions constrained the Pakistani Navy's operational capabilities, contributing to Pakistan's ceasefire request on May 10.
India implemented diplomatic and economic measures, including suspending the Indus Waters Treaty and halting bilateral trade, in response to the terror attack and escalation.
