Air India Named India’s Best Airline at Skytrax 2026
Air India was chosen as the best airline in India for 2026.
It moved ahead of IndiGo in the rankings.
Akasa Air stayed in third place.
Air India was also recognized as the world’s second Most Improved Airline.
IndiGo won several awards for low-cost travel, cabin crew, and cleanliness.
The rankings came from passenger surveys, not from Skytrax editors.
Travelers from more than 100 nationalities gave 24.8 million eligible responses.
Singapore Airlines was named the best airline in the world.
Air India surpassed IndiGo to become India’s Best Airline at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2026.
IndiGo ranked second, while Akasa Air retained third place and SriLankan Airlines fell to fifth.
Air India was also named the world’s second Most Improved Airline.
IndiGo won regional awards for Best Low-Cost Airline, Best Cabin Crew, and Cleanest Airline.
Singapore Airlines was named the world’s best airline for 2026, followed by Qatar Airways and Cathay Pacific Airways.
