Shailesh Jejurikar Becomes P&G Chairman, Retains CEO Role

Shailesh Jejurikar, a 59‑year‑old executive from India, will become the chairman of the big company Procter & Gamble on August 1, 2026.

He will keep his job as the company’s chief executive officer.

The move follows the retirement of Jon Moeller, who has led the company for 38 years.

Jejurikar has worked at P&G for almost 40 years, starting in 1989 and holding many important jobs around the world.

His new role shows that people from India are becoming leaders in big global companies.

P&G sells many well‑known brands like Tide, Pampers, and Gillette.

In India, P&G’s sales are a small part of its worldwide business, about 2.5% of total revenue, compared with Unilever’s 12%.
