Indian FPOs See B2B Growth After Webinars
Indian FPOs rising after Agri Ministry’s weekly webinar, tops ₹1,000 cr from B2B · thehindubusinessline.com

Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) in India have seen a big increase in their business with other companies (B2B) after the government started weekly online meetings.

These meetings help farmers connect with big companies to sell their products.

So far, FPOs have made over ₹1,100 crore from these B2B deals, with the most coming from a trading platform called NCDEX.

The government wants to help more FPOs make at least ₹1 crore each and is aiming to have 5,000 such successful FPOs next year.

Some FPOs are also selling on online platforms like ONDC, but not many are on Amazon or Flipkart because the fees are too high.

The government has also helped FPOs sell to big organizations like NCCF and Nafed, as well as private companies like Mother Dairy and Farmart.
