Police in Coimbatore detained a 16-year-old boy after he allegedly attacked a woman.
The incident happened in a quiet alley around 1:30 a.m.
on September 3.
Police said the boy appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
CCTV footage reportedly showed street dogs barking and scratching at him.
The dogs chased him until he let go of the woman and ran away.
Police said the woman is 30 years old and has a mild developmental disorder.
Investigators also linked the boy to a shop fire earlier that night.
He has been sent to a Juvenile Home while the investigation continues.
