IPS Trainee Uday Krishna Arrested Over Sexual Harassment Allegations
A trainee police officer named M Uday Krishna Reddy was caught by the police in Hyderabad.
People say he kept bothering a female trainee, threatening her, and even hurting her.
She told the police and later got married.
The police found out he also talked to other women and was mean to them.
Because of all this, he was put in jail and is staying in Chanchalguda Central Prison while the court decides what will happen next.
Trainee IPS officer M Uday Krishna Reddy was arrested on 29 July 2023 for sexual assault, harassment, stalking, and threats.
The remand report alleges repeated harassment, emotional manipulation, suicide threats, weapon possession, and five physical assaults.
The victim, a woman trainee IPS officer, filed an internal complaint, later married in May, and reported intensified harassment after her marriage.
Police discovered Reddy communicated with multiple women and harassed others in Hyderabad and at the National Police Academy.
Reddy is currently held on 14‑day judicial remand in Chanchalguda Central Prison.
