Five Duped Of ₹67 Lakh In Fake PMC Job Scheme
Five people in Pune were promised jobs with the city’s municipal corporation.
They were allegedly asked to pay money to get positions such as attendants, guards and supervisors.
Altogether, they reportedly paid ₹67 lakh in instalments.
The people accused of the fraud allegedly showed them documents that looked official.
The victims were even taken for medical examinations.
Later, they received appointment letters and identity cards that allegedly carried fake seals and signatures.
When the victims checked with the municipal corporation, they learned the documents were not genuine.
Police have registered a case against six people and are investigating.

Sinhagad police registered a case against six people, including retired PMC school headmaster Sanjay Ananta Bhalerao.
The promised positions reportedly included attendants, police guards and supervisors.
The accused allegedly used fake PMC documents, medical letters, appointment orders and identity cards to convince the victims.
The alleged fraud took place between 2024 and June 2026, and further investigation is underway.
