Car Catches Fire in Piravom; Occupants Escape Unhurt
A car caught fire in Piravom on Friday morning.
The fire started near the front of a 2009-model Maruti Alto.
The people inside quickly got out of the car.
Nobody was hurt.
They called the Piravom Fire and Rescue Service for help.
Firefighters arrived and put out the flames with water.
The damaged car was moved to the roadside so traffic could pass.
The Motor Vehicle Department will check the car to find out why it caught fire.
A 2009-model Maruti Alto caught fire near Aattutheeram Park in Piravom around 6:10 a.m. on Friday.
The vehicle was owned by Anuraj, a resident of Mevelloor.
All occupants exited the car and escaped without injuries.
Piravom Fire and Rescue Service personnel extinguished the blaze using water from an MTU.
The Motor Vehicle Department will examine the vehicle to determine the cause of the fire.
