MPSC Aspirant’s Suicide Sparks Anger Over Systemic Pressures
Prathamesh Deshmukh was a 28-year-old student preparing for government examinations in Pune.
He came from Dharashiv and hoped to get a government job to help his family.
Reports said he had borrowed money and owed about ₹2.5 lakh.
He reportedly struggled to pay for food, rent, coaching and other expenses.
His family said he sometimes ate only once a day.
Abhijeet Dipke said exam problems and unemployment added to the pressure on students.
He called the death a failure of the system, though this was his allegation.
Dipke also said people seek reservation because they do not receive enough good education and jobs.
The Cockroach Janata Party said it would support MPSC students’ protest.
