Thane Police Begin Month-Long Anti-Drug Drive With Students
Thane Police started a campaign to teach young people about the dangers of drugs.
The campaign is called “Say No to Drugs – Say Yes to Life.”
More than 28,000 students from 171 schools joined its online opening event.
The schools are in several areas of Thane.
Police want students to focus on learning, sports, and creative activities.
Actors and filmmakers also encouraged students to make healthy choices.
Students and other citizens can enter competitions such as videos, posters, poetry, and street plays.
Winners will receive prizes, and some of their work may be used in future police campaigns.
Thane City Police Zone-1 launched a month-long “Say No to Drugs – Say Yes to Life” awareness campaign.
More than 28,000 students from 171 schools joined the virtual launch on September 11.
The campaign covers schools in Naupada, Thanenagar, Rabodi, Kalwa, Mumbra, and Shil-Daighar.
Police and Marathi cinema personalities urged young people to choose education, sports, and creative arts over substance abuse.
Creative competitions will run through October 11, 2026, with prizes and selected entries used in police outreach campaigns.
