Four Punjab Cadets Commissioned as Army Lieutenants at OTA Chennai
Four young people from Punjab have become officers in the Indian Army.
Their commissioning ceremony took place at the Officers Training Academy in Chennai.
Two of the new officers are women who trained at the Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls.
Deepnoor will serve in the Army Aviation Corps.
Diksha Dhiman will serve in the Army Ordnance Corps.
Ishpreet Singh Dhillon will join the Regiment of Artillery.
Arsh Singh will serve in the Judge Advocate General Branch.
Punjab officials said the officers could inspire more young people to serve the country.
Four cadets from Punjab were commissioned as Lieutenants in the Indian Army at the Officers Training Academy in Chennai.
Two women cadets came from the Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls, while two cadets came from MRSAFPI.
Lady Cadet Deepnoor joined the Army Aviation Corps and Lady Cadet Diksha Dhiman joined the Army Ordnance Corps.
Cadet Ishpreet Singh Dhillon joined the Regiment of Artillery, while Lieutenant Arsh Singh joined the Judge Advocate General Branch.
The passing out parade was reviewed by Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Krishna Swaminathan.
