The corridor includes two major tunnels with a combined length of about 10.55 km, viaducts and a 650-metre cable-stayed bridge.
Heavy rain triggered a landslide near Tunnel II on July 6, disrupting traffic for more than 18 hours before the road reopened after clearance and safety checks.
Social media users described the mist-covered, waterfall-lined Pune-bound stretch as looking 'heavenly' and more like a scenic location than a busy highway.
