Pentagon UFO Files: Pilots Report Unexplained Night Sky Lights

The Pentagon is the big building where the United States military makes many of its decisions.

The Pentagon shared some secret papers, called files, about UFOs.

UFO means Unidentified Flying Object — something in the sky that no one can explain.

In these papers, a pilot told a story about strange lights he saw at night.

The lights first looked dim, like a flashlight far away.

Then they got brighter and finally disappeared.

Some lights stayed still in one place.

Others moved in straight lines or turned to go a different way.

The pilot said he saw lights like these at least ten times.

Other pilots also said they saw similar lights when they flew at night.
