Pune Excise Busts Major Liquor Rackets Ahead of New Year
The Pune Excise Department recently stopped two big illegal liquor operations just before New Year's.
On December 24, 2025, they caught people selling and making fake and illegal liquor in two different places: Camp and Hinjawadi.
They found lots of expensive foreign liquor like Black Label Scotch and Absolut Vodka, which isn't allowed to be sold in Maharashtra.
They also found fake bottles, caps, and labels showing that the people were making fake liquor.
Four people were arrested, and the police took away all the illegal liquor, fake stuff, and the cars they were using.
The police asked everyone to tell them if they know about any other illegal liquor activities.
Pune Excise Department seized prohibited and counterfeit liquor worth 8 lakh in two separate cases.
Four individuals were arrested for illegal liquor transportation and manufacturing.
Seized items include premium foreign liquor brands, fake bottles, caps, labels, and vehicles.
Raids were conducted in Camp and Hinjawadi areas of Pune.
