CBI Books Two PCDA Officials Over ₹50 Lakh Procurement Loss

A special police agency in India called the CBI is looking into two government workers who handle defence money.

These workers are accused of doing something wrong when the government bought batteries, backup power devices called UPSs, and powerful computers called servers.

The workers reportedly took secret money, called bribes, from the companies selling these items.

Someone else helped them collect and pass along that money.

The government says this caused it to lose about 50 lakh rupees, which is a very large amount.

The buying rules were broken, and the workers are accused of using their jobs unfairly to help certain companies.

The CBI started its case after a complaint from another government worker who checks for problems.

The accused are now facing official charges under Indian law.

The police will continue to look for more evidence and the workers will have to answer for what they are accused of doing.
