NDA Leaders Gather in Varanasi for Modi Birthday Celebrations
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday is being celebrated with events in Uttar Pradesh.
The main gathering is taking place in Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has started a month-long programme called Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
The programme includes public service and community activities.
A motorcycle rally is traveling from Varanasi toward Vadnagar in Gujarat.
Another rally is traveling from Vadnagar toward Varanasi.
Riders will carry sacred water collected from different parts of India.
The rallies will pass through many states, districts and villages.
The journey will finish on October 7, which marks the anniversary of Modi becoming Gujarat’s chief minister in 2001.
