Another 5.9 Earthquake Strikes Flores Days After Deadly Quake
Another earthquake shook Indonesia’s Flores region on Thursday.
It had a magnitude of 5.9, which describes how strong the earthquake was.
The earthquake happened about 10 kilometers below the ground.
Flores had already experienced another 5.9 earthquake on Monday.
A stronger earthquake struck the region on Saturday.
That earlier earthquake caused landslides and damage.

The latest earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers, the EMSC said.
It was the second 5.9-magnitude earthquake to hit Flores after Monday’s tremor.
Rescue teams are still searching through landslides and rubble from Saturday’s earthquake.
The earlier 7.7-magnitude earthquake has killed at least 53 people.
