North East Skill Competition Begins
A big skill competition called IndiaSkills 2025–26 is happening in Guwahati for young people from all eight states in the North East of India.
It takes place from January 19 to 22 at Gauhati University and has 26 different skill categories.
The winners will get to compete at the national level.
The government is organizing this to help find and support talented young people and make it easier for them to participate.
At the same time, the university had its convocation where degrees were awarded to students.
The governor and a union minister spoke about the importance of continuous learning, integrating skills with education, and the role of universities in making India a global knowledge superpower.
First dedicated IndiaSkills competition exclusively for the North East region, with participation from all eight states.
Event organized by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship from January 19 to 22 at Gauhati University.
Competition features 26 skill categories and is inaugurated by Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary.
National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) serves as the knowledge partner and implementing agency.
Winners will advance to the national stage of IndiaSkills Competition 2025–26.
