Pune Marathon Runner's Organ Donation Saves Four Lives

Uday Birmal was a marathon runner from Pune who was hit by an auto‑rickshaw while training on July 19.

He was taken to a hospital but could not be saved and was declared brain‑dead.

His family decided to donate his heart, liver, and both kidneys.

The heart was sent to a hospital in Mumbai through a special police‑organized route called a green corridor.
