Kerala Launches Cybersecurity Centres for Data-Driven Governance
Kerala opened two new cybersecurity centres in Kochi.
The centres were created by a company called CyberShelter.
They will help protect computer systems and important data.
The Kerala government also wants to use data more effectively to make decisions.
The new facility will work all day and night to look for cyber threats.
It will also develop security products and train people for cybersecurity jobs.
CyberShelter has already trained people from fields such as banking, law, healthcare, and commerce.
The company says the project could create 200 to 500 direct jobs within one to three years.
Chief Minister VD Satheesan inaugurated CyberShelter’s Global Delivery Centre and Cyber Security Centre of Excellence in Kakkanad.
Satheesan said Kerala is preparing for data-driven governance and plans to install dashboards in his office.
The Kochi facility will include round-the-clock cyber defence and security operations centres, threat intelligence units, and cybersecurity laboratories.
CyberShelter serves more than 100 large enterprise clients and has completed over 700 projects across banking, government, and critical infrastructure.
The company expects its talent initiative to create 200–500 direct jobs over the next one to three years.
