ONGC Seeks TSP for Western Offshore Basin
ONGC, a big Indian oil company, is looking for a technical partner to help increase oil and gas production in its Western Offshore fields.
These fields are important because they produce a lot of the company's oil and gas.
ONGC has already worked with a company called BP to stabilize production in the Mumbai High field, and now they want to do the same for other fields.
They have asked big international oil companies like Shell, Exxon, and Chevron to help.
The goal is to stop the production from going down and even increase it.
ONGC is also planning to add new platforms to boost gas production.
They are also exploring new areas like the Andaman region for more oil and gas.
ONGC is seeking a Technical Service Provider (TSP) for its Western Offshore basin oil and gas fields to combat production declines.
The tender excludes the Mumbai High field, where BP has already been appointed as TSP.
ONGC has contacted CEOs of 10 major E&P operators, including Shell, BP, Chevron, Exxon, and TotalEnergies.
Production at Mumbai High has stabilized since BP's involvement, adding 3,500-4,000 barrels of oil per day and 2-2.5 million MSCMD of gas.
ONGC aims to complete the TSP selection process by June 2026, subject to data review and discussions.
