West Bengal Raises Remuneration for School Education Contract Workers
West Bengal Increases Remuneration of Para-teachers, Special Teachers Under PM POSHAN · telegraphindia.com

The West Bengal government has decided to pay more money to many contractual education workers.

These workers include para-teachers, special teachers and Shiksha Bandhu.

Primary para-teachers will get Rs 16,941 each month.

Upper-primary para-teachers will get Rs 20,523.

Special teachers and education volunteers under PM POSHAN will also receive higher payments.

Many other school programme workers will get increases too.

The new amounts were approved by the Governor of West Bengal.

One part of the notification says Madhyamik Shiksha Kendra heads receive a Rs 6,000 increase, but its listed old and new amounts show a larger difference.

Notification discrepancy
Madhyamik Shiksha Kendra heads are listed as rising from Rs 6,178 to Rs 22,178, while the text describes the increase as Rs 6,000.
