IIT Madras Announces Five-Day Hands-On Swarm Drone Technology Training
IIT Madras is planning a five-day programme about groups of drones working together.
It will take place from October 12 to 16, 2026.
Students and other interested participants can learn how drones fly, communicate and make decisions.
They will study how several drones can coordinate as a team.
The programme will include hands-on activities such as building quadcopters.
Participants will also practise planning missions, using simulations and flying drones.
The event will include industry interaction and a visit to a drone technology company.
Applications are due by October 5, 2026.
IIT Madras will hold a five-day Swarm Drone Technology symposium from October 12 to 16, 2026.
The programme will cover swarm intelligence, multi-UAV coordination, autonomous navigation, distributed control and decision-making.
Participants will receive practical training in quadcopter assembly, mission planning, simulation and flying.
The symposium is organised by IIT Madras’s Department of Aerospace Engineering under the SwaYaan initiative.
Applications must be submitted by October 5, 2026; queries can be sent to [email protected].
