Suu Kyi Meets Red Cross Official Amid International Pressure
Aung San Suu Kyi, a famous political leader in Myanmar, has been kept in house arrest since a military coup in 2021.

Her son Kim Aris described the meeting as “an important first step” that could lead to greater humanitarian access and her release, while analysts say the visit may be a diplomatic move ahead of Min Aung Hlaing’s trip to Thailand.
The Red Cross confirmed the visit but did not disclose Suu Kyi’s location or health status, citing its policy of sharing information only with detaining authorities.
