Tiny Item in Pocket Can Trigger Additional Airport Security Check
A famous filmmaker named JD Majethia went to an airport with a tiny piece of a medicine wrapper stuck deep inside his pocket.
The little foil in that wrapper made the airport's metal detector beep.
At the first airport, the security people could not find what caused the beep and let him go.
At Hyderabad airport, it happened again, and this time he emptied his pocket completely and found the tiny piece.
An aviation expert named Dhairyashil Vandekar says metal detectors can react to the small aluminium foil that comes with some medicine strips.
The beep does not mean someone is carrying something dangerous.
It just means security needs to do an extra check to make sure everything is okay, which is a normal part of airport safety.
Mr. Majethia says the extra check took about five minutes and slowed down the line behind him, so he asks travellers to check their pockets before security screening.

Vandekar clarified that a screening alarm does not mean the object is dangerous and that additional checks are a routine part of the security screening process.
Majethia urged passengers to check their pockets thoroughly, noting the extra check took about five minutes and slowed down the queue behind him.
