NEET SS 2025 Special Stray Round Opens After Court Order
The Medical Counselling Committee has announced one more counselling round for some medical super-speciality seats.
This happened after a Supreme Court order dated September 17, 2026.
The minimum qualifying score level has been lowered from the 50th percentile to the 30th percentile.
This means some more candidates may now be allowed to take part.
The round is for D.M., M.Ch.
and DNB SS seats that are still empty.
Candidates who already received a seat will not get an upgraded seat in this round.
Candidates without a previous allotment and newly eligible candidates may participate.
Vacant in-service seats from Tamil Nadu may later be added to the national seat list.
The Medical Counselling Committee announced a Special Stray Vacancy Round for NEET SS Counselling 2025.
The round follows a Supreme Court order dated September 17, 2026, in a case involving the Tamil Nadu Medical Officers Association.
The qualifying percentile for Super Speciality counselling has been reduced from 50th to 30th percentile.
The round will cover vacant D.M., M.Ch. and DNB SS seats left after Round 2.
Candidates without earlier allotments and those newly eligible under the revised percentile can participate, but the round is non-upgradation.
