Shruti Haasan's Painful Goodbye: Kitten Aslan Rehomed After Allergies

A famous actress and singer named Shruti Haasan brought home a new kitten and named him Aslan.

She was very happy to adopt him three months ago, but just two days later her face broke out in red rashes and painful bumps.

Doctors said Shruti's body was allergic to the kitten's spit and fur.

She tried many things to stop the allergy, like cutting Aslan's hair and using air purifiers, but nothing worked.

She even had to take very strong medicine to control the reaction.

So Shruti made the sad choice to let Aslan live with someone else, and his old foster mom is helping find him a loving home.

Shruti says it was one of the hardest decisions of her life, but she wants people to remember that giving a pet a home is a very kind thing.

A vet doctor named Dr Priyadarshini Govind says many cat allergies can be fixed with tests and special allergy shots.

The vet also says people should try hard to keep their pets before giving them away, because cat allergies come from tiny skin flakes called dander, not just fur.
