Vance Jokes Turkey Not As Tasty As Chicken

JD Vance, the US Vice President, made a joke about turkey not tasting as good as chicken during a Thanksgiving speech to military troops at Fort Campbell in Kentucky.

He asked the soldiers if they really liked turkey, and when some raised their hands, he joked that they were not being honest.

He said that people don't roast turkey randomly because it doesn't taste that good.

However, he still insisted on honoring the holiday tradition of cooking turkey.

He also mentioned that he had spoken to a soldier who planned to deep-fry her turkey, which inspired him to try the same.

He added that if you have to deep-fry something to make it taste good, it probably isn't that good.

He compared turkey to chicken, saying that chicken tastes good all the time, fried or not.
