Four Indian Women Reclaim Asian Games 4x400m Relay Gold
Four Indian runners joined together for a relay race at the Asian Games.
Kiran Pahal ran the first part, followed by M R Poovamma, Prachi Choudhary and Vithya Ramraj.
India started slowly but moved into the lead during the race.
Poovamma had previously faced a doping ban and depression, but she returned with help from her family and husband.

Choudhary and Ramraj maintained India’s lead despite pressure from Bahrain’s Salwa Eid Nasser in the final leg.
Bahrain finished second and China third, giving India its seventh Asian Games gold in the women’s 4x400m relay.
