Christian leaders urge Amit Shah to withdraw FCRA Amendment Bill
Some Christian leaders went to meet an important government minister in India.
They wanted him to stop a new law.

A delegation of Christian leaders led by DMK Rajya Sabha MP P Wilson met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday.
The delegation sought the withdrawal of the proposed Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, calling it "confiscatory" in nature.
They argued the bill would replace the existing regulatory regime and adversely affect charitable institutions across the country.
As an alternative, the delegation asked for the bill, along with a comprehensive review of the FCRA, 2010, to be referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC).
The delegation also demanded repeal of Section 15 of the existing FCRA dealing with vesting of assets.
